Andy and I would like to take a moment to share the heart and vision of Building Foundations. The work we do in Ghana for The Gonzalez complex and the PLC Orphans and Widows is an ongoing mission that started in 2007. Our desire is to gather resources through Grants, monthly donors and find those that are willing to help us help others. In the near future we would like to have readily available resources that would allow us to reach out to Those in our own backyard, community and throughout the state. We would like to build up the small needs ministry near and far. We desire to provide immediate help to those in need, whether it be to help pay a bill, provide food, clothing, to partner with others to meet the small needs of those around us. We would like to Help You to help others. However we can. We can not do this alone, and God has placed it in our hearts to find others to partner with us in this area. We have never been discouraged to help others alone, For we have seen God provide, but we feel deeply that we can do so much more with the help of others. If God is speaking to you to reach out and serve others, We would like to Help you to help others. This is our desire and we are trusting God to provide the finances for this. Urgent Need Jan 2015

URGENT NEED - Building Foundations partnering with Perfect Love Chapel to build a Training Center for Widows and Orphans and a home to house them all together. The land that was purchased for this Ministry is in need of donations. The Chief of the village has posted a notice stating that we need to begin work on the plots or the Land will be taken from us and sold to someone else. We need to begin building walls around the Land, which will allow us to keep the land. We need your help, every dollar counts. We need to raise $5500.00 dollars to complete the project. Those who hear and don’t act are like those who glance in the mirror, walk away, and two minutes later have no idea who they are, what they look like.
25 But whoever catches a glimpse of the revealed counsel of God - the free life! - even out of the corner of his eye, and sticks with it, is no distracted scatterbrain but a man or woman of action. That person will find delight and affirmation in the action.
26-27 Anyone who sets himself up as “religious” by talking a good game is self-deceived. This kind of religion is hot air and only hot air. Real religion, the kind that passes muster before God the Father, is this: Reach out to the homeless and loveless in their plight, and guard against corruption from the godless world. I was thinking back to when we first met Pastor Stephen in Kumasi,Ghana. this is an old photo from our very first trip. from the school dedication, 2008. The Gonzalez Educational Complex, Kumasi, Ghana, West Africa. Back then here were about 35 children. Today there are over 300. God bless this school. God bless the children, the teachers and staff. I was reading this blog this morning. Great reminder: Be compelled to give. The Love of God Compels Us to Give"
"The Body of Christ. Who are they? Where are they?
Sometimes it is hard to find them, but there are guideposts to follow and trace them down. For one thing, God tells us that first, they are His who have accepted His Son Jesus as the payment for their sins. They have been redeemed and have been brought back into fellowship with their Father because of this. Then His Son further clarifies His family by saying that they are the ones who "do the will of God," the ones who realize and accept "they are not their own" but that they "have been bought with a price" and that price is none other than by His own blood shed for them. Then because of them accepting that they are His (owned by Him) they follow Him and "do as He did," as an example. Love for God, and love for their brothers, their neighbors and even their enemies are things they are trusting Him to work in their hearts. They want what He wants, come what may.
Sometimes it is difficult to indentify true believers unless persecution comes their way. In the prosperous society we live in, the lines between true believers and false ones is often blurred because most people just take at face value what people say, that they are Christian. But when persecution comes, the false believers usually jump off the bandwagon to save themselves, and true believers are still trusting God. So, that is perhaps why the Word says that the whole creation is groaning and travaling for the sons of God to be manifest. And one day, when God restores all things, they will be.
My husband and I have a ministry card we had made which has the name of the ministry In Jesus' Name on it with it's contact information. We have a Scripture printed on it which says if you have material possessions and your brother or sister does not have, and you don't respond to that, how can the love of God be in you? This describes but one of the reasons we have chosen to financially support our family in India who are in need, and around the world, or should I say because of the love of God in us, the support came freely. His love is a giving love, and if I could be so bold to say that if you have His love, you will find yourself wanting to give in some way also.
Our family around the world is suffering. Many of them are wondering where their next meal of rice is going to come from. In this country, most believers have extra money to give, if only a few dollars a month. If we claim to be "maxed out" it usually is because we have heaped it on ourselves, or stored it up in barns. God will speak honestly to us about this if we will hear; if we have really allowed ourselves to be governed by Him. But the main thing, is that we will naturally respond to the needs of our brothers and sisters worldwide if His love is in us.
Who is the Body? Those who through love in action give to the other suffering members, and by this show the love of God towards them. The love of God is displayed as we show love one to another." http://thissamejesus.blogspot.com/…/the-love-of-god-compels…

Holiday Cheer

The work at Perfect Love Chapel continues to move forward during the holiday season.  We are excited to see how fast things are being done.  Soon in the middle of a Ghetto community that has a majority of those living there who are muslim, We will be placing a light house, a safe place for people to go to worship the Lord and hear the Good news.  A place where children can learn bible stories and Orphans and Widows will find they are not alone.  We are excited to be part of this vision of Pastor Joseph and Irene Frimpong.  We are building the foundation of Christ in many lives one at a time.  There is still so much to be done at the new building and at the Gonzalez school.  We hope to continue with building the 2nd story of the school  which will be our Jr. & Sr.  High classrooms.  We want to also complete the school yard and make it a safe place for the students to play.  Please consider joining us, every dollor counts.  If we could get 200 people to give $10 or $20 during this season, we can continue to keep the work going through the holiday season.  We do are able to do what we do, when we have the support of family and friends.  Thanks so much for your prayers and financial support.  Andy and Julie-  Building Foundations 1x1

Building Foundations Statement

     Our desire is to help those who can not help themselves whether it be for lack of resources, lack of employment, or a lack of the basic essentials, whether it be in Third world countries or those who are our neighbors and those in surrounding communities throughout America.  We partner with those who are struggling to provide education, medical assistance and basic needs for  Families, Orphans, Widows and the homeless.  We first encourage them, build up thier self esteem and equip and train them to support their households.  We help to provide shelter, food, clean water, medical care and school supplies and fees.  We have have partnered with ministries in West Africa to provide a water well, school classrooms, washrooms, kitchen and safe school yards.    We are renovating a small building in the middle of the ghetto streets of Little Accra.  When completed it will include a main sanctuary, offices, urinals and a childrens wing.  We want to provide a place for those in need to go and recieve assistance.  It is our desire to help others around the world and in our own back yard to stand with and walk with them through thier most trying times.  It is our hope that they in turn will be encouraged to help others in need.  We desire to be physically present and travel where needed to provide such assistance.  We are seeking those who have a heart to give, who desire to see the fruits of their resources.  there are many who can not Go but would rather give in confidence knowing thier provisions will be used almost entirely towards helping others. Building Foundations 1X1 takes the resources to build families and individual lifes through training, spiritual encouragement and support.
